Inner Harbor / Pastel / 16"x22"

Another painting set in Rockport Harbor, Massachusetts. You might even call this "East meets West" because I referenced a photo of these people in a rowboat which I took several years earlier near Santa Catalina Island, off the California coast. This painting won Second Place in the 2006 Pastel Society of the West Coast Membership Show. Even though it won an award, I didn't like the prow of a boat sticking into the lower right corner and so this more recent photo of the painting shows I have removed it. I now feel it's a stronger composition.
