Well, ok, one thing about the picture is phony. I added the casually dropped newspaper at a later time, to help balance the composition.

An artist friend of mine brought her thirteen year old daughter, Madison, to my studio and she
posed for a live-sitting portrait session for both of us. During a break, the young girl came into
the house and layed down on the couch for a short nap - so the title "Naptime" is not a posed or phony situation.
When I passed by, I saw the pictoral possibilities and snapped several photos. Well, ok, one thing about the picture is phony. I added the casually dropped newspaper at a later time, to help balance the composition. |
